Details

Over the years, wear and tear on skin, hair, bone and joints become more prevalent. Ultimately, this wear and tear can result in dry and wrinkled skin and weakened bones. Our bodies depend on their natural collagen production to maintain skin elasticity and provide structural support in connective tissue and muscles. However, as we age, the production of this vital protein begins to slow down — supplementing with collagen may help this issue. Pure Collagen Powder Drink offers a collagen formula hydrolyzed into small bioactive peptides that may support healthy collagen production throughout the body. *

Often referred to as a “complex protein,” collagen contains a plethora of different amino acids, including hydroxyproline, which does not occur in other proteins, and is found everywhere in the body. Studies show that it is one of the most plentiful proteins in mammals as it is responsible for several biological functions. Because collagen is a unique type of protein accounting for as much as 30% of the body’s total protein, it is an essential component of our dietary regimen. Pure Collagen Powder Drink offers 5 grams of hydrolyzed collagen. *

It is often assumed that collagen supplements can only benefit women versus men due to their association with beauty products, especially those offering lifting and firming benefits. While it is true that collagen is a great skin health supplement, this does not limit it to a specific gender; collagen’s skin and bone benefits are good for both women and men’s health. Pure Collagen Powder Drink makes for an easy on-the-go supplement due to its packaging in small packets, convenient for both travel and work. *

Pure Collagen Powder Drink is taken by mixing one stickpack with 60 ml of water.

*This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Ingredients

Hydrolyzed Collagen (Fish and Porcine)
Collagen is a structural protein (long chain of amino acids) found in our bodies. It is the most abundant protein in the body and has a unique amino acid profile. As such, collagen is a major component of bones, skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. It provides structure to these areas and functions to hold all these things together. Many people think of it as a “glue” and actually the word collagen comes from the Greek word “kola”, which means glue. Collagen peptides provide numerous beneficial effects throughout the body.

After collagen is absorbed in the body, it works in the various tissues where cells will build the peptides into complete collagen that support the areas that need it – skin, hair, bone, muscle, etc. Hydrolyzed collagen peptides refer to collagen that has been broken down into much shorter chains of amino acids, which creates a form that is better absorbed into the bloodstream. As we age, collagen levels in the body decline, which helps explain the negative changes with regards to skin, hair, bones and muscles. Collagen supplementation is good for healthy ageing because of its unique role in helping to maintain and support the important aspects of skin, hair, bone, joint and muscle health!

Coffee Cherry Extract
Coffee cherry extract is derived from the fruit of coffee cherries from Arabica plants. Coffee cherry fruit provides beneficial antioxidants, chlorogenic acid, carbohydrates and enzymes that can benefit and support a physically active body.  Naturally occurring polyphenols reduce the effects of oxidative stress, while chlorogenic acid has been shown to positively affect overall health.

Coenzyme Q10
Coenzyme Q10 can be found naturally in spinach, broccoli, nuts, soy, fish, and organ or muscle meats. Coenzyme Q10 belongs to a family of substances called ubiquinones and is a water-insoluble, wax-like substance that is part of the respiratory chain. Since it is a coenzyme, it is necessary to support the action of an enzyme. Enzymes are produced by the body and are necessary for survival and healthy living. CoQ10 is found in almost every cell in the body. Coenzyme Q10 is important for cellular energy production, promoting the strength of the heart muscle and providing antioxidant protection to the cardiovascular system. Coenzyme Q10 is especially important in the ATP production process.

The body’s ability to synthesize Coenzyme Q10 naturally diminishes with age and deficiency has been associated with certain health concerns.

Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)
Hyaluronic acid or hyaluronate is a glycosaminoglycan distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial and neural tissues. It is one of the main constituents of the extracellular matrix and promotes healthy cell proliferation and migration. Plentiful in extracellular matrices, hyaluronic acid supports healthy tissue hydrodynamics, movement and production of cells, and promotes a number of cell surface receptor interactions.
