Details
Advanced science has brought clarity to vision health by working with researchers to develop an effective nutraceutical possessing a significant number of quality ingredients in one modus operandi, Isotonix Vision Formula with Lutein Powder Drink. By eliminating the need for extended digestion, isotonic formulas absorb quickly and efficiently into the body, reducing recovery time and increasing overall health. Isotonix Vision Formula with Lutein Powder Drink offers a faster and more efficient delivery of vision nutrition supplements.
The Eye:
- Retina - a light sensitive membrane in the back of the eye. It receives an image from the lens and converts it to a signal that is sent to the brain via the optic nerve so that you can then see light.
- Macula - a small yellowish spot located in the middle of the retina that is responsible for the detail of vision by providing visual sharpness and color perception.
The intricate process that contributes to visual degradation usually develops over a long period of time, making the need for a protective eye approach even more important.
Many of the ingredients found in Isotonix Vision Formula with Lutein Powder Drink, when added to a balanced diet and exercise routine, can help support good vision throughout the aging process. Each ingredient has been carefully chosen to bolster a strong antioxidant defense system and provide the eyes with the nutrients crucial for healthy visual function. These ingredients in an isotonic form ensure that the body will utilize them expediently and efficiently through Isotonix unique absorption techniques.

Ingredients
Beta-Carotene (Vitamin A)
Beta-Carotene is the precursor to vitamin A. It is converted in the liver to active vitamin A where it is transferred to the retina.
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that is part of a family of compounds, including retinol, retinal and beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is also known as pro-vitamin A because it can be converted into vitamin A. The best sources of vitamin A include organ meats such as liver and kidney, egg yolks, butter, carrot juice, squash, sweet potatoes, spinach, peaches, fortified dairy products like milk and some margarines, and cod liver oil.
Vitamin A has exhibited immune and antioxidant activities. Vitamin A helps to maintain vision and to ward against loss of night vision. It promotes bone growth and also contributes to a healthy immune system. Vitamin A plays vital roles in epithelial differentiation, growth, reproduction, pattern formation during embryogenesis, bone development, hematopoiesis and brain development. Vitamin A also exerts a positive effect on eye health. Deficiency can result in drying of the conjunctiva and cornea.
Vitamin C
Around 90 percent of vitamin C is derived from fresh fruits and vegetables. Peppers (sweet, green, red, hot red and green chili peppers) are especially rich in vitamin C. Other good sources include citrus fruits and juices, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, collards, mustard greens, broccoli, spinach, guava, kiwi fruit, currants and strawberries.
Benefits of Vitamin C include: enhancing immune system function, protecting against infection, heightening the absorption of iron and working to improve cardiovascular health. Vitamin C is an antioxidant necessary for the growth and repair of tissue, adrenal gland function and gum health. Vitamin C is an antioxidant present in high concentrations in the aqueous and vitreous humors of the eye.
Vitamin E
The most valuable sources of dietary vitamin E come from vegetable oils, margarine, nuts, seeds, avocados and wheat germ. Safflower oil contains a large amount of vitamin E. Vitamin E is actually a family of related compounds called tocopherols and tocotrienols. Vitamin E was discovered in the early 1930s when rats were fed a diet without the presence of vegetable oils (the primary dietary source of vitamin E) resulted in reproductive problems.
Vitamin E is available in a natural or synthetic form. In most cases, the natural and synthetic forms of vitamins and minerals are identical. However, with Vitamin E, the natural form is much more superior in terms of absorption and retention in the body. The natural form of alpha-tocopherol is known as "d-alpha tocopherol", which is the form of vitamin E found in Isotonix® products.
Vitamin E is an immune-boosting antioxidant. It also possesses wound healing properties and is known to aid in the protection of the cardiovascular system. Vitamin E is one of the most powerful fat-soluble antioxidants in the body, which protects cell membranes from free radical damage.
Lutein and Zeaxanthin
Lutein and Zeaxantin are carotenoids found together in many fresh fruits and vegetables. Within the eye, they are found as pigments in the macula and retina.
Lutein and Zeaxanthin act as antioxidants to protect the eye from free radical damage. They help to build macular pigment density, a critical factor in the health of the macula and retina in relation to the clarity of the lens. They also act as filters of blue-light to protect the photoreceptor cells of the retina from light damage. Blue-light wave lengths can generate free radical damage.
Bilberry
Bilberry extract is derived from the leaves and berry like fruit of a common European shrub closely related to the blueberry.
Extracts of the ripe berry are known to contain flavonoid pigments known as anthocyanins. They act as powerful antioxidants. Scientific studies confirm a positive effect on vision and vein issues.
Bilberry supports night vision and eases eyestrain while nourishing eye tissue and supporting healthy circulation in the eye. Many of the bioflavanoids in bilberry have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, strengthening the structural integrity of blood vessels and promoting healthy circulation to small capillaries that deliver oxygen and nutrients to the eyes.
Bilberry extract strengthens capillaries and helps reduce bruising while promoting the healing of wounds. It may also play a role in relieving menstrual problems; studies have found it helps to relax smooth muscles like those found in the uterine wall.
Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis)
Eyebright is an annual plant with deeply-cut leaves and small, white or purple flowers variegated with yellow, native to Great Britain . There are over 20 species of eyebright that extend over Europe, Northern and Western Asia and North America . The medicinal portion of eyebright comes from fluid extracted just above the root only when the plant is in bloom.
Eyebright is used for the inflammation of the eyelids, sties and eye fatigue. Eyebright has been used by herbalist since the 16th century for problems of the eyes.
Chromium
Food sources of chromium include brewers yeast, whole grain cereals, broccoli, prunes, mushrooms and beer. It is also widely available in the form of supplements as chromium salts such as chromium polynicotinate, chromium picolinate and chromium chloride, which help increase the absorption and availability compared to isolated chromium. Studies have shown that about 90 percent of Americans consume less than the recommended amount of chromium each day. More active people, like athletes, have a higher dietary need of chromium. It has been shown to reduce triglyceride levels of obese adults and those with diabetes by nearly 20 percent.
Chromium is the Glucose Tolerance Factor that helps insulin bind with greater affinity to receptors on the cell membrane promoting healthy blood sugar uptake and long-term maintenance of blood sugar, resulting in healthy blood vessel health.
Chromium is involved in regulating the actions of insulin in maintaining blood sugar levels. It has been shown to support healthy blood pressure, cholesterol, body fat, control hunger, and increase lean muscle mass.
Zinc and Copper
The richest dietary sources of zinc are found in seafood (especially oysters), meat, fish, eggs and poultry. More than 90 percent of the bodys zinc is found in bones and muscles. Zinc may increase exercise performance, especially for athletes that avoid red meat or intake a lot of carbohydrates in their diets.
Studies have shown that zinc may shorten the severity and duration of a cold. Additional benefits of zinc are increased sperm quality in men, supporting a healthy prostate, promoting a healthy immune system and wound healing.
Copper is required for normal infant development, red and white blood cell maturation, iron transport, bone strength, cholesterol metabolism, myocardial contractility, glucose metabolism, brain development and immune function. The richest dietary sources of copper include nuts, seeds, legumes, liver, kidneys, shellfish, oysters and crustaceans.
Some additional benefits of copper include: transporting oxygen through the body, maintaining hair color, aiding in the production of hormones, helping to maintain vital organs like the brain and heart, and stimulating the immune system.
Zinc and copper together are functional components of superoxide dismutase (SOD), a key enzyme that is highly effective in neutralizing oxygen radicals, thereby boosting the antioxidant defense system.
Quercetin
Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that is an excellent antioxidant working synergistically with vitamin C to strengthen the walls of the intricate blood vessels in the eye. It also helps to maintain lens transparency. Quercetin has been shown to inhibit the enzyme, aldose reductase. Aldose reductase has been known to contribute to poor eye health.
Taurine
Taurine is a nonprotein amino acid and can be found present in high amounts in the brain, retina, myocardium, skeletal and smooth muscle, platelets and neutrophils. It is plentiful in the fluids of muscle, lungs and nerve tissue. Dietary taurine mainly comes from animal food sources, but is also present in low levels in from plants and seaweeds.
It is classified as an essential amino acid used for micelle formation and fat absorption. Its important in the hydration of the body and gives an energy boost by stimulating the cells nutrient uptake improving physical reaction time. Additionally, it boosts mental alertness and enhances the ability to concentrate.
